Our Church

St Bartholomew’s Church and Snarestone CE Primary School have been closely linked for three centuries, since the school was established in 1717. Today, this strong link continues in various ways. St. Bartholomew's is one of the eight churches in the Woodfield team of churches.

The whole school visits St. Bartholomew's to take part in a service four times a year: harvest, Christmas, Easter and end-of-year. These special occasions enable us to celebrate together, a link that we all enjoy and which benefits everyone.

Members of the Woodfield team also visit Snarestone to lead Collective Worship, and the school is visited by ‘Open the Book’, a team of Woodfield Parishioners who come to re-enact bible stories for the children in an active and fun way.

It is a great joy to have such strong connections between the school, the local church and the parish – the tradition of centuries continues to thrive!
