Safeguarding
The school fully recognises the contribution it can make to protecting children and supporting pupils in school. The aim of our Safeguarding Child Protection Policy is to safeguard and promote our pupil's welfare, safety and health by fostering an honest, open, caring and supportive climate. Our pupil's welfare is of paramount importance.
Need help? Need someone to talk to? Meet our Safeguarding Team:
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Tim Jewitt (Headteacher)
Our Deputy DSLs are Rebecca Gynane (Senior Teacher) and Lydia Leeson (SENCO)
Our governor responsible for safeguarding is Mark Haggan
All children know they can talk to any 'trusted adult' in school.
If you have any worries or concerns about a child, then please contact us to talk.
NSPCC - Speak Out, stay Safe!
We are very proud that we have completed the NSPCC 'Speak Out, Stay Safe' lessons and assemblies at Snarestone. All the children know that we are here to keep them safe, and they can talk to anyone at school as a 'trusted adult'. In classrooms, there are 'worry boxes' where children can post any worries they have.
Are you a child? Would you like support from the NSPCC or Childline?

We are an Operation Encompass school
As part of Snarestone CE Primary School's commitment to keeping children safe, we are proud to be part of Operation Encompass. Operation Encompass is a unique police and education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children and young people exposed to domestic abuse. Through this partnership, the school’s Key Adult will be informed by 9.00am on the next school day that the child or young person has been involved, heard or witnessed a domestic incident. This knowledge, given to schools through Operation Encompass, allows the provision of immediate early intervention, which means that our children will be given support and nurture when they need it most.
If you would like to speak to someone further about the project or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
At Snarestone CE Primary School, our Key Adult is Mr T. Jewitt (Headteacher)
